I started a new game and the raft instantly sank with normal physics as long as I was above the platform. Restarting the game fixed this

my raft was anchored next to an island during rough seas and I guess one of the upper levels got caught on the island and the raft flipped up on its side, then sank. After a few seconds it then disappeared leaving me stranded and forced to start a new game. When I returned to the title screen, the raft there also slowly turned sideways and is now floating oddly. I have a screenshot of it on steam
